Skills required:

·         Work closely with OpenMRS  developers.

·         Business Analyst to focus on the OpenMRS project.

·         OpenMRS experience is a must.

·         OpenMRS implementation experience would be an asset

·         Assist in defining the requirements working with CLIENT Business Representatives (GCTO and others) and Regenstrief Lead, as well as work closely with OpenMRS developers (

·         Support activities around business use case development, test execution, and summarization of results.

·         Agile thinking

·         Obtain a better read on overall Health Care data for better decisions connected to Clinical Trials

 

Brief Program Summary:

Overview of Healthcare IT for Global Clinical Development  (HIT in GCD)

 

·         In 2012, aligned with the GCDRA HIT Strategy and Roadmap, a program consisting of a set of experiments related to business outcomes that will be strategically enabled by world-class HIT capabilities will be performed.  Both business and IT aspects will be addressed in these experiments.

 

The 2012 goal for the multi-year Healthcare IT for Global Clinical Development (HIT for GCD) program is to:

 

·         Conduct initial experiments to inform design of the end state as well as provide near term value;

·         and plan for operationalization of the roadmap, implementing the world-class HIT capabilities needed by MRL GCDRA according to roadmap.

 

 

 

 

Based on prioritized use cases, we will perform experiments aligned with the roadmap to demonstrate value of HIT in GCDRA and use those results to guide change to the roadmap and define subsequent investment in 2013-2016.  In partnership with the business areas affect, both business and IT aspects will be addressed in these experiments.

 

The HIT experiments are organized in the following three project groupings with the following goals:

 

·         2012 Experiments for CER, Disease & Demographic Models

 

·         Improved ability to execute EHR-driven Comparative Effectiveness Research

·         New insights into disease prevalence and incidence in populations

·         Longitudinal patient views to better understand population/ sub-population trends

 

 

2012 Experiments for Trial Execution and Cycle Time Outcomes

 

·         Improved identification of patients who qualify for a study and  their subsequent  enrollment

·         Improved site identification and assessment of country feasibility

·         Improved protocol refinement process

·         Increased patient adherence

·         Improved data quality

·         Identification  of linkages between active /  post-trial data

 

Informatics IT: Regenstrief Projects

·         OpenMRS Source System: Leverage Open Source EMRs in Emerging Markets

·         Extend the functionality of OpenMRS , particularly in components that relate to secondary data use (cohort builder, reporting framework, logic framework, etc)

·         Promote and facilitate the continued growth of a global network of OpenMRS instances; establishing it as a standard for real world patient data capture and reuse.
