Position :        Sr. Software Engineer, Test Automation

Location:        Redwood Shores, CA

Duration:        6 Months +

 

Job Description:

• As a senior member of Core Software verification team, the candidate is going to be responsible for development and maintenance of software test automation framework.
• The candidate is expected to have strong expertise and experience in development of test automation framework especially for lower level software in mobile phone system (BSP, device driver, HAL layer and modem integration layer).
• The excellent candidate is expected to work with with developers, architects from SW, HW and Systems domain to implement and enhance the embedded software test automation framework as well as expected to develop the test scripts and test cases

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Embedded Software Development in C/C++
• Basic Java Programming experience preferred
• Experience with test automation methodologies and tools based on Android architecture
• Scripting expertise in Perl and Shell programming
• Experience in developing embedded test automated solutions for testing CDMA/UMTS protocols
• Experience in developing test cases, test environment and test execution and reporting for other cell phone features are plus.
• Basic Android application (APK) compilation, installation, running tests and collecting Androd kernel and modem logs
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
