Job Description:

 

Design and code from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software apps

- Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality

- Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions

- Perform project management of estimating, scheduling, and monitoring tasks

- Develop, maintain, and report intranet metrics

- Interface with different departments within the organization regarding new deployments

- Research/analyze data processing functions, methods and procedures

- Monitor program execution for expected performance

- Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

- Experienced MicroStrategy Developer for projects that span numerous functional areas and lines of business within the company.

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years experience working with BI on various DBMS platforms.

- 5+ years of Microstrategy development experience - Experience in both schema and public object design and build

- Hands on knowledge in designing or developing dashboards using Microstrategy

- Proven analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language

- Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications

- Full life cycle BI development

- Create and modify schema objects

- Design and build pixel perfect report service documents and interactive Flash dashboards

- Implementation of web based ad-hoc reporting

- 3+ years front-end integration experience working with development teams on the deployment of web based applications (Java, J2EE)

- 5+ years experience working with the utilizing SQL in datawarehousing environments likeTeradata.

- Provide analysis and support to end users by utilizing SQL in an Oracle environment to generate extracts and queries.

- Cognos experience a plus.
