Minimum Requirements:

1. I.      EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelors degree or higher
• 5+ Years of working experience in Oracle database development
• 5+ Years of working experience with ETL and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• 5+ Years of working experience with Data Warehouse development
• Proficiency in Unix and shell scripting
• Proficiency in Dimensional modeling
• Financial Industry knowledge is preferred but optional
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of OBIEE is preferred
• Knowledge of Hedge Fund or Financial industry a major plus but optional

Description:

1. I.      POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Aexeo data warehouse team is looking for a database developer to help support our established data warehouse. The ideal candidate would be proficient in database development, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, ETL development using ODI and Unix. They would also have a good working knowledge of STAR/dimensional schema data models. They would work well with a team and show initiative with regards to developing creative solutions to technical and practical challenges.

 II.    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS:

This position reports to Data Warehouse Lead and is a contract position within the ADW group which is responsible for development and support of the Aexeo Data Warehouse.

  III.   PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Demonstrate expertise in the data warehouse/data mart life cycle, developing and deploying both dimensional and relational models.
• Design and development of ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Work with report developers in debugging data issues and tune database queries
• Work with Application Support in resolving data-to-day data load issues.
• Data loads performance tuning.
• Develop/modify batch load scripts.
• Work with DBAs and SAs co-coordinating releases or solving day-to-day issues
