Job Description:
| Job Summary: The primary responsibility will be to take on tickets, at first partnering with existing staff, and ultimately on his/her own. This person will primarily be a SharePoint troubleshooter who will handle access issues and SharePoint technical questions, creation of team sites, etc. Additionally, the person should have experience with other Content Management Software (CMS) in addition to SharePoint, as we have a number of external facing sites for which tickets are opened – we have personnel here to back up the contractor, especially at first, but this person will need that CMS experience so that externally facing, non-Sharepoint tickets won't be completely foreign to them, such as Open Text's RedDot product.
Skills & experience needed: * Functional knowledge of web servers and Content Management Software. * Experience with Sharepoint 2003 and 2007 – troubleshooting access, providing access, site and file restores, etc. * SQL experience for backup and restores of sites, as needed. * Communicate technical and complex information, both orally and written – strong verbal communications is critical, will be talking directly to customers on troubleshooting issues. * Experience with BMC Remedy – a definite plus. * Prior experience with Web Content Management Software (WCMS) – RedDot & SharePoint a definite plus. * Previous experience in web developing. * Knowledge of principles and techniques of internet development. * Functional knowledge of web analysis techniques. * .Net skills. * Degree in CS/CIS, or equivalent work experience (web/systems analyst). |
