Job Description:

The current ADABAS/Natural platform is no longer considered viable for new (and current) systems and the current legacy system must be migrated to a new operating platform.

In August 2011, client was successful beginning a project to migrate the system from Adabas/Natural to Oracle/Java.

In order to ensure the success of this project, we require 1 Java Developer that is able to:

• Work with the existing staff on new development of the migrated JAVA application. The existing staff is composed of experienced mainframe programmers that are transitioning to the new platform and will need some time to reach the current development velocity.

• Work on converting the data access modules for CSeTools (a browser based application that deliver BI to line workers) and eCSE (the public facing Child Support Enforcement website). The current access to (mainframe) is thru a broker call and it must be changed to a web service call to the migrated application (200+ access modules) in order to remove the mainframe from the process.

• Help existing staff with any Java/platform related design / programming questions or issues.

Senior Programmer Analyst/Application Software Developer (JAVA Developer) Requirements

Specifications for JAVA Developer is to include the following:

• Must have at least 5 years experience in system analysis, design and development in Client/Server environment using JAVA, PL/SQL. Oracle version 10g or higher preferred (versions 8 and 9 acceptable) in Client/Server environment under UNIX, Windows 2000/XP.

• Good understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques

• Strong hands-on experience using SQL with a relational DBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server 2000

• Strong knowledge of SOAP/CXF Web Services and SOA architecture

• Strong knowledge of J2EE including JMS, EJB3 and MDB

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment on fast-paced dynamic projects

• Web development experience is a plus

• This is anticipated to be a 12 month project, with one (1) one-year option to renew if needed.
