REQ. SKILLS:      Jr UX Designer, Contractor

Requirements:

The Jr. UX Designer is responsible for supporting the design of successful solutions for applications that support the business goals and user needs. S/he produces wireframes from a design template, applies visual design according to a style guide and creates interactive prototypes to demonstrate functionality to users and business stakeholder. In addition, s/he will write UI specs for software development. S/he will support multiple Sr. UX Designers under the direction of a UX Design Manager.

The Jr. UX Designer should be creative, technically adept, analytical, detail-oriented, flexible and able to take direction, as well as work independently.
Background:

§ 1 – 2 years' experience in production of wireframes and graphics
§ Solid understanding of the principles of user-centered design
§ Solid understanding of innovative graphical user interface design, information design, and interactive design
§ Excellent written, oral and diagrammatic communication skills
§ Adept with relevant design and information flow software
§ Familiarity with creation of UI specs

Responsibilities:
§ Produce wireframes and prototypes time and within budget
§ Deliver UI specifications for Developers and QA
§ Work in a supportive role to senior level designers
§ Ability to work on a team and learn from colleagues

Technical Skills:

§ Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Axure
§ Front-end coding a plus (e.g., HTML, CSS, or ActionScript)
