Job Title: Sybase Developer

Location: Chantilly, VA

Duration: 6-12 months

 

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of database application experience including Sybase SQL Anywhere 12.
  • Participate in specification, design, documentation, code reviews and testing for new projects/enhancements.
  • Build database schema, tables, views, procedures, triggers, events and permissions. Familiarity with cursors, temporary tables and materialized views is a must.
  • Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency, using Index Tuning, Application Profiling and other methods. Must have a strong background in query optimizations.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and fix existing Transact-SQL code. Familiarity with Watcom is desired. 
  • Have the ability to examine and quickly learn existing data models, business logic and processes.
  • Install and test upgrade and patch scripts on both development and production environments.
