About the position:

One of our clients in New York City is  looking for a QA Analyst with responsibility for planning and execution of test methodologies throughout the project lifecycle till the project is rolled out. The main objective of the QA Analyst will be to ensure a bug free release goes to production with every single enhancement/ change/ project.

The candidate will work closely with IT Business Analyst and other vendor partner technical teams to perform the testing and communicate the test result at a daily scrum meeting to the team.

Required skills:

       Experience in Java is a must

- Sound understanding of Business requirement Analysis, Test Plans and Test Cases

- Understanding of software quality management principles(tracking, analyzing, reporting, implementation etc)

- End to end testing knowledge from creating test plans to execution and be able to engage effectively with internal business clients, subject matter experts, and technical resources.

- Experienced with regression testing tools and write test scripts for regression testing

- Experienced with load testing tools to measure the load on the system and present various analysis/ metrics/ graphs to improve performance

- Experienced with web application testing on various platforms

- Sound communication and inter personal skills

- Prior testing experience

 

Additional Skills:

- Knowledge of Salesforce would be an additional advantage for creating the test data

- Prior domain knowledge of market place business helps

- Knowledge of liferay admin task and architecture helps

Responsibilities:

- The QA Analyst will be responsible for developing, execution, and reporting results of all testing associated with IT infrastructure projects

- This Analyst will work closely with the entire project team(s) to communicate and manage defects, and suggest and implement process and service improvements.

- Analyst will take on responsibilities for testing to include: test plan and script creation, test execution, defect reporting, results reporting.

- Create Test plan and Test Execution documents

- Create and execute test scripts for regression testing

- Create and maintain test data

- Ability to map and derive the test case back to requirements

 

 

- Provide input for software quality metrics if required to measure the performance

- Create and review Test Deliverables to ensure compliance to the Test Strategy

- Create and review Test Deliverables to ensure compliance to standards

- Create and review Test Results to validate completion of testing

- Estimate the testing effort for a particular requirement

- Understand the End to End business process and conduct End to End testing of the business process

Work with Business Analysts and technical teams to resolve defects

- Suggest any open source testing tools for regression testing

Education:

- Bachelor degree or equivalent
