Job Description:

Need an architect who has detail enough experience and knowledge to be able to architect a solution, present it to architects and managers, and describe them to system analysts and developers.

This person obviously needs technical as well as good communication skills.

What I've seen presented is either

- technical but not good communicator.

- Technical but not architecture level (i.e., developer)

- Could talk high-level but could not do deep-dive

- Very much of an information architect

Some general day to day operations will entail:

- attending requirements review meetings

- attending design and code reviews

- creating and presenting solution architecture diagrams

- attending architecture review meetings

- attending design discussions

- attending status meetings

The Solution Architect position is a contractor position with the goal to provide architectural guidance for various initiatives that re either ongoing or will be started in the ICS (Integrated Customer Services) department. The architect is required to have excellent written and oral communications skills and will be comfortable dealing with all levels of the organization, from senior leadership to business analysts and systems analysts to developers. Ideally, the architect will have over 5 years of solution architecture experience with knowledge of SQL and Oracle DB. MDM expertise and/or TIBCO BW/BE experience is ideal but optional.
