Job Title: QA automation tester

Job Description:
This position will be initially 50% hands-on automation; 50% leading. As the team size increases, this resource will be primarily focused on leading the automation team. Expecting team to grow to 10 resources both onshore and offshore. Want this resource to be onshore so that we have the option to eventually convert the resource into a full-time employee.
Technical
Understands Software Development Life Cycle and Quality Assurance concepts, metrics, SDLC methodologies and documentation standards
Strong Project Management experience
At least 5 years of QTP experience required
At lead 5 years of Quality Center required
At least 3 years of Microsoft Project
Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation ; e.g. data driven testing
Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used
Experience building or maintaining an automation framework
Results Tracking and Reporting
Research and document defect reports following agreed upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem
Update test execution stats following agreed-upon processes as part of regularly scheduled status updates
Produce status reports on automation progress which includes metrics and issues/risks
