Job title: Sr. Java Front End Developer

Location: Stamford, CT

Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of extension

Rate: $Open/hr on C2C

Responsibilities:

We seek an outstanding developer to focus on the web-based front-ends to our software systems. We aim to deliver an elegant and intuitive user experience for our users and clients. You will work in a rapid development environment where results are quickly visible. You must be a team player and have the ability to work independently without requiring micromanagement. Good communication skills and the ability to listen are also a must.

You will help build our web presence, making critical interface decisions. You will be contributing to the user interface design of the systems and working with our entire technology team.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work in advanced technologies for client application development, server based application development, and mobile development (iPhone, Blackberry, and Android).

Required Qualifications:

• Experience implementing web applications using technologies such as CSS, JavaScript (including AJAX), advanced HTML and their derivatives

• 7+ years of development experience; At least 5 years of front-end experience, including 3+ years of JavaScript experience

• Expertise with a web technologies such as: jQuery, dojo, Prototype, XML (XSD, XSLT)

• Desire to have significant ownership over core interfaces of a new product

• Experience with image editing tools such as Photoshop and related tools

• Experience designing for multiple browser and operating system platforms

• Solid English language skills

• Ability to plan, work and report through self-initiative

• Preferred Skills:

• Experience with HTML5, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop

• Leadership and/or Management Experience

• Working knowledge of JSP or ASP

• Active portfolio
