Position: Senior Cognos Consultant

Location: NJ

Duration: 6 months

Job Description

· BS Degree

· 10+ Years of Total Experience

· Strong skills to Analyze, design, develop, and support initiatives to deliver Cognos 8 frameworks enabling end user reporting capabilities as well as advanced reporting development

· Good understanding in Data Warehousing concepts, Data Analysis, Data Warehouse Architecture.

· Must have experience in designing, working with and development of Star/Snowflake Schema Design, DataMarts and Dimensional Models

· Skilled in performance tuning, analyzing query plans and tuning.

· Provide technical support and trouble shooting for Cognos related issues

· Ability to work with middleware administrators to resolve issues

· Experience of working with business users to gather requirements and provide training · Experience with Oracle 11g

· Understanding of the entire SDLC process and knowledge of industry standard best practices

· Strong SQL skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Solid oral and written communication skills.

· Experience in Insurance domain.
