Job Title: Business Analyst

Duration: 12 months

Location: Irvine, California

 

Position Title:  Offshore Service Consultant

 

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Works as a point of contact for designated areas /projects and translates scope of work into Statement of Work (SOW) in working with vendors. Assists with scope definition and project planning. Thereafter supports and coordinates all tasks required to transition projects as per client engagement model.

• Conducts feasibility studies, GAP analysis in designated areas and helps build business case for projects.

- Has broad understanding of sourcing models like Managed Services, Fixed Price engagements, with some outsourcing understanding.

- Oversees conversion of projects into matured sourcing models and works with program manager on assigned consolidation opportunities.

• Tracks new and expected offshore transition demand from business units and partners with vendors to determine next steps and action items.

• Performs vendor/product/services research and assists in vendor/product evaluation

• Understands use case model and requirements development process to translate requirements into technical standards.

• Collects and documents offshore infrastructure requirements early on in the planning and transition stages and translate them into requested formats that would make them easy to deploy on remote virtual desktops for provisioning team(s).

• Understands windows workstation's system integration aspects and how applications communicate via the network. Has a good understanding of client based, server based and web based applications.

• Coordinates risk assessment and impact analysis in working with Information Security team and vendors. Coordinates implementation of risk controls identified across ITG as a result of such assessments.

• Analyzes and documents functional and technology gaps and helps improve processes, artifacts and program reporting.

• Supports offshore program audits, conducted by internal compliance organizations and external auditors.

• Supports program reporting, SOW reviews, planning tasks as requested.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Analyst with at least 4 years of IT experience and entry level project tracking and management experience.

2. Strong technical and business skills with experience on business and process modeling.

3. Prior work experience in offshore setting with service providers and understanding of IT security, IT project and program managers, IT infrastructure, and IT compliance team members.

4. Good understanding of IT terminology and infrastructure-related terms.
