Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute and affect the fastest growing segment of the consumer business. The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of eCommerce platform related new features and functionality that will ultimately enhance the customer experience and drive the growth of the Consumer business for Symantec and its partners globally. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of selling products directly to consumers.
Responsibilities:
Manage eCommerce platform tactical planning and activities for the eCommerce platform
Evaluate business case for new features and enhancements
Develop business requirements and drive solution design by collaborating with teams involved in the software development lifecycle: Regional and Corporate Marketing, Development/Engineering, Payments & Risk Strategy, Business Intelligence, Customer Experience, Customer Support, Quality Assurance, respective Product Management teams, etc.
Analyze success of new feature releases based on predefined success criteria in order to better understand customer market and improve strategic planning
Skills
Qualifications
Experience with working in a scrum environment including prioritizing user stories, working with business stakeholders to get alignment and clarity around requirements and managing scrum meetings
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar cognitive science, a Master's degree is preferred
Experience in software or web platforms with a strong understanding of eCommerce
An understanding of best practices and technology solutions from an eCommerce and Product Management perspective
Possess a successful track record of managing projects with cross-functional teams including the ability to directly engage and influence key stakeholders
Good written and oral communication and presentation skills used to facilitate discussions and drive progress
Ability to multi-task effectively and excel within a collaborative environment
Adapt quickly and work well in a constantly evolving environment and business landscape
Experience in thinking about customer needs, business needs, customer experience and sales strategy for the eCommerce environment
Have a keen sense of business acumen with excellent work ethics and attitudes
Experience in performing financial analysis, defining business models, and managing an entire solution lifecycle
Write business requirements documentation for feature and functionality enhancements
Plan and roadmap with other Product Managers to prioritize and schedule development of new feature and functionality enhancements
Provide clarity on business requirements identified by execution and development teams during build out of new feature and functionality enhancements
