Role: Java Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6+ Months

 

 Responsibilities:
·         Work closely with team lead and business owners to define application and system requirements for new products and product enhancements.
·        Design, develop, and document software components, including IVR applications using VoiceXML and CCXML and JEE-based middleware using Struts.
·         Provide maintenance support and assist with updates to existing technologies.
·        Research third-party technologies for application to internal requirements.
·         Port applications from Weblogic to JBoss.
·         Identify and resolve performance issues and ensure all applications are highly available and resilient.

 

Required Skills:
·         5 plus years software development experience.
·         Strong experience developing applications with Java Enterprise Edition technologies including EJB, JSP, servlets and web services
·         Experience developing VoiceXML 2.0 DTMF and speech-based applications
·         Experience with developing dynamic VoiceXML applications using Struts
·         Significant experience with JBoss, Weblogic or other Java Enterprise Edition application servers
·         Significant experience developing application that utilize Oracle or MySQL
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·         Self-starter who can work effectively independently as well as in cross functional team environments

 

Desired Skills:
·         Telecommunications industry knowledge
·         Experience using Hibernate, JPA, TopLink or other ORM tools
·         Experience with Adobe Flex UI development
·         Working knowledge of SIP and SIP Servlet programming
·         Experience developing CCXML applications

 

Education:
·         Technical undergraduate / graduate degree
