Job Title: Report Developer / Microstrategy
Location: Mclean,VA
Duration: 1+ Year
Required background and skills:
-10+ years hands-on ETL, MSTR Architect and Reports development experience.
-MicroStrategy 9.0 experience including Architect & Desktop products. Develop complex MSTR reports (trailing reports, time interval calculations), complex graphs, and dashboards. Integration with MS powerpoint
-Develop reports using MSTR Office
-SSIS or similar ETL tool experience. Need to work on SSIS type ETL tool (SQL Packages) for loading data in to the DB
-Must have worked as Lead or Sr. Microstrategy Expert Consultant.
-Must have mid-level ETL and BI experience
-Must have Data Model development experience
-Hands on experience with performance tuning VLDB, data warehouse database design and modeling.
-Experienced in detail design and performance tuning of MSTR reports, documents and dashboard for MicroStrategy Web users in an UNIX environment. Demonstrated proficiency in Intelligence Server configuration settings, and experience in performance tuning.
- Experienced in multi-tenancy - i.e. supporting multiple business clients and multiple MicroStrategy projects on same underlying architecture.
- Comprehensive knowledge in the MicroStrategy BI tool suite (I-Server, Architect, Desktop, Web, Narrowcast, MSTR Office, OLAP and Report Services).
- Knowledge of SSIS or similar ETL job design experience to load star and snow flake schemas (Type 1, Type 2 dimension changes etc)
- Develop job tracking model and reports
- Develop Data Quality reports in MSTR
- Comfortable working in a production environment with change management, defect tracking and status reporting processes.
-Strong SQL and Unix skills
-Familiar with Software life cycle methodology
-Hands on experience with at least one relational db - UDB, Oracle DB (Preferred)
-Work independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment
-Financial Services Industry Experience preferred ( Credit Reporting, Loan Purchase)
-Database and Reports Server Performance Tuning
-Assist with database design
-Familiarity with SAS and migration of SAS reports to MicroStrategy reports (MSTR/SAS Integration) is preferred
-Excellent written and communication skills is a must
-Experience in Testing
