Role: Cognos Admin

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Pleasanton, CA

Relevant Expereince: 6-8 yrs of experience in Cognos Admin,Good knowledge Cognos 8.1. Should have worked as a senior developer for EPM Cognos on production support activities.

Technical/Functional Skills:

- Strong experience with all Cognos tools 8.1 and above (Transformer, Framework Manager, Report Studio, etc) , EPM 8.9 and worked on Production Support.

-Comfortable with Process-flows & Table Structures in EPM.

- Working experience in custom Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Interfaces components.

-Interact with Functional and Testing Team to resolve issues & conflicts as needed.  
-Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
-Commitment to delivering a high quality work product.

-has experience in providing PROD support

-has extensive experience in debugging issues in Report Studio, Transformer, FrameWork Manager

-experience in building Cognos cubes (using IQDs)

-experience in creating Framework Packages

-experience in debugging performance issues in Cognos Reports/FM Packages

- knowledge of EPM, PeopleSoft is a plus

 

Desired Skills:

-1 end-to-end Implementation experience in EPM and Cognos

-Good knowledge in EPM- Cognos reporting

Roles & Responsibilities:

-Provide production support

-Working on the enhancement and reporting request

- Work to build Cognos cubes

-Creating Framework packages

- debugging performance issues in Cognos Reports/FM Packages

 

Generic Managerial Skill:        

-Able to plan/track tasks/activities

-Report progress/challenges to Project Manager

-Coordinate with offshore as necessary
