JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

-Administrates of Development database servers.

-Designs database structures for new app features and review those designed by developers (tables, columns etc.).

-Writes SQL queries for new features and review those written by developers..

-Helps solving stability and performance problems between the application and the database.

-Sets up databases for new customer implementations.

-Performs cutover data migrations

-Regularly looks at performance reports from Prod for catching potential performance problems.

-Manages database structure and code versions

-Creates DB standards and coding conventions

-Introducing, implementing and managing mechanisms of database code versioning

-Works with Database Operations Team

 

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum 5 years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 

-In-depth knowledge of SQL Server.

-Experience with SQL, PL/SQL and TSQL programming.

-Expert in SQL queries tuning, tracing and resolving locking problems.

-Experience in working based on business requirements: writing complex SQL queries, data modeling, proposing technical solution for business problems.

-Knowledge of database technologies: data partitioning, performance tuning, locking etc.

-Good working knowledge of DB Tools/Utilities (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler).

-Be comfortable working side by side with developers.

-Be proactive proposing solutions, identify potential problems, be focused on getting things done.
