Understands the Hyperion technology for the HFM product and the interactions with other tools in the Hyperion stack (14 tools~) Able to discuss and understand accounting and reporting requirements Understands currency translations within HFM Understands the Financial close and consolidation process from the accounting perspective Understands the interactions with Smartview and the drillback into GL transactions Understands the reconciliation process between HFM, GL, and Planning Understands the Journal Entry process and top down entries and and their flow Understands SOX, IFRS, GAAP requirements and how HFM meets them Understands interactions with ancillary tools like Blackline for outside reporting to agencies such as the SEC Ability to gather requirements and translate those to developers Ability to manage clients requirements sessions and summarize understanding to clients executives Understanding of General Ledgers and accounting systems such as SAP and Peoplesoft (many are out there) Understands the accounting and financial functions within an organization
Ability to work well in a matrix environment, soft interpersonal skills in dealing with difficult situations and complex problem resolution Minimum of a BA preferable in accounting or finance Understanding of KPI's and performance analytics – eg GM. NI, % GM, Sales analysis, cost analysis, ROI, ROE, etc
5+ years leading Financial projects
Opt:
MBA, CPA (either is preferred, controller/fin analyst experience also good) Process design flow experience in re-architecting close and financial information flows Understanding of Hyperion Financial Disclosure Module Understanding of Hyperion Planning and Essbase Technical development ability in HFM/Essbase/Planning/Other Hyperion Modules Understanding of Annual Reports and Financial Statements (a given for an accountant) – eg Cash Flow, Sources and uses, Balance Sheet, Income Statement
