Job Title: UNIX/LINUX Administrator
Location: Bloomington, IL
Duration: Long Term
Rate:$47/hr.

Will work 1st shift with a Monday - Friday work week; 8:00 am to 4:15 pm at the ITSS Command Center in Bloomington, Illinois and need to be shift/day flexible.

Incident Management component monitors the generated alerts to determine the status of the infrastructure and applications that are used by State Farm employees and customers. This area helps facilitate the recovery of the applications and infrastructure should an outage occur. Once alerted, they use a number of tools to gather diagnostic and then recover.  

The UNIX FileNet/Imaging Team provides technical support for UNIX FileNet and Image Capture services. The team is the primary point of contact to business partners for resolving incidents, providing service restoration, and troubleshooting application and system failures using Service Management Processes (SMP). The UNIX FileNet/Imaging team provides 1st shift onsite coverage, and after-hours and weekend coverage for high-priority incidents, and partners will other technical areas to resolve issues as needed. Other responsibilities may include reviewing and creating knowledge items; and reviewing team procedures and documentation. Work for this skill is received via HP Service Manager incidents, requests, change tasks, and phone calls. 

Technical Skills: 
Knowledge of UNIX HP-UX or AIX or LINUX Operating Systems, including command-line familiarity 
Experience supporting and troubleshooting problems with the UNIX operating system
Knowledge to create, review and update Knowledge Items. 
Ability to use HP Service Manager along with a basic understanding of automated (OVO) monitoring
Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting technical issues
High-level understanding of networking, including client's network, is a plus
