We are looking for Oracle Apps DBA immediately to be based out of Sunnyvale, CA

 

 

Position: Oracle Apps DBA

Work Location :  Sunnyvale, California

Start Date : ASAP

Duration  : 6 months.

 

Job Description:

 

Develop, create, and modify Oracle business applications for compatibility with  products. Analyze business needs and develop solutions. Specifically, provide leadership on technical business applications project teams and handle complex project management issues and technical challenges for Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.9), Release 12.1.3, Oracle Webcenter, and OID/OAM installation, upgrades, setups and configuration. Configure WebLogic/WebCenter Oracle R12 Application Suite compatibility with Snapmirror and Snapshot technologies. Work on instance strategy, candidate architecture and detailed architecture, as well as with PMO and release management teams and technology delivery. Draw upon experience with NAS and SAN solutions to handle very large database backup and recovery. Provide high availability business solutions for Oracle Standby Database, Oracle Dataguard, Oracle Advanced Replication and Oracle RAC. Conduct performance tuning for large enterprise resource planning (ERP), reporting and data warehouse databases. Work with Fusion Middleware Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Oracle 10g grid control, and Oracle Enterprise Manager. Perform business database and application patching, database capacity planning, and Oracle ASM configuration and implementation. Drive best practices, process improvements and strategic initiatives for the Oracle ERP operations team.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

The position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in business administration, computer applications, information systems or a related field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience installing, upgrading, and configuring Oracle applications 11i (11.5.9), release 12.1.3, Oracle Webcenter, and OID/OAM. Will accept a master's degree in stated field in lieu of two years of stated experience. Stated experience must include WebLogic/WebCenter Oracle R12 Application Suite; Fusion Middleware SOA; NAS and SAN solutions; database backup and recovery; database and application patching; database capacity planning; Oracle ASM configuration and implementation; Oracle 10g grid control and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
