Job Title: Oracle Apex Developer

Duration: 7 Months

Job Description:

Required Knowledge & Experience:

- 8+ years development experience

- 3+ years experience with programming web based applications

- Experience working from specifications and holding to a solid change process

- Experience in coding unit testing for software components following IEEE software engineering testing standards

- Experience in code review processes and enforcement

- Understanding how to translate business rules to well defined and documented development artifacts, including use of object oriented design techniques

- IT experience working in large complex private or public sector organizations

Required Skills & Abilities:

- Expert development experience with Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle development tools with APEX

- Understands data models (packages, functions and stored procedures)

- Unit testing skills

- Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

- Good documentation skills

- Demonstrated initiative in delivery of well structured and documented code

- Code reviewing skills

- Actively manages the coding documentation to ensure changes are made properly and integrated for maintainability

- Ability to work independently

- Handles confidential information appropriately

- Meets tight timelines

- Attention to detail

- Analytical with a strong work ethic

- Problem solving skills

Desirables:

- Cross platform integration tools for the IBM Mainframe platform include MQSeries, WebCICS and Micro Focus

- Experience correcting defects in SQL Programs discovered by Testing

- Experience with coding to specifications

- Experience with government agency programs

- Experience with systems engineering activities

- Experience working with IT technical team members and understands IT terminology

- Good communication skills and a customer service focus

- Adheres to government agency standards and templates

- Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with peers, and project management to meet specifications

- Critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information to guide the development team to a decision

- Initiative and accountability for achieving results
