Position: Migration Consultant (Windows XP to Win 7)
Location: Milwaukee, WI: Plymouth, MI: Holland, MI
Duration: 6+ months
| Overview: Migration of 90,000 clients from Windows XP to Windows 7
|
| * Work with Microsoft tools and Windows XP to Win 7 migrations * Review day-to-day status of migrations. * Diagnose issues with failed migrations * Troubleshoot technical migration issues including root cause * Engineer resolution to issues to prevent migration failures * Work Remedy ticket queue to resolve issues and close tickets * Document technical processes and best practices * Work with ADP tool which automatically schedules clients for migration * Work with SCCM to the extent required to manage migration activity

| * Windows XP and Windows 7 knowledge * Knowledge of migration tools and processes * Diagnostic skills * Initiative to follow and complete issues without prompting * SCCM functional skills * Knowledge of clients and client support * Network skills - pinging machines, etc
