I need someone with a few years of Silverlight with experience in VB.NET development.

 

Overview:

Developer in a small, talented development group producing Next Generation Emergency 911 systems. Candidate will be a member of an Agile programming team that develops high-performance code for a system that has a real impact on people's lives. Interact with other groups within the organization to help ensure the software's success. Located along the waterfront in beautiful downtown Seattle, with easy access to public transportation and freeways.

Responsibilities:

·         Enhance and port existing source code to Web-based UI.

·         Participate in cross-functional, highly complex software development efforts, within an agile environment.

·         Develop SW following stringent practices in an ISO 9001/27001 compliant environment.

·         Help prepare work breakdown structures and estimates for development components of projects.

·         Interact with Quality Assurance for effective and timely triage and fixing of bugs.

·         Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshoot code fixes for level four support of software.

·         Follow corporate policies and procedures.

·         Other functions as required.

 

Requirements:

·         Strong VB .NET, ASP, JavaScript, Silverlight and SQL knowledge.

·         Experience with C#, SQL Server, Infragistics, WCF a plus.

·         Experience developing on a Windows platform.

·         Strong experience with object oriented design and analysis.

·         Experience with IIS a plus.

·         Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Bachelor degree and 5 years of development experience or equivalent experience.

·         Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in .NET development environment.

·         Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

·         Ideal candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
