We are currently looking to add new HCR (Health Care Reform) Regulation Impact Analysts to our HCR Program team.
The HCR Regulation Impact Analyst works with minimal supervision to ensure that business and project leadership is fully empowered with understanding and knowledge of the most recent regulatory guidance. As HCR Project Teams begin working through HCR impacts to business functions, processes, financials, people and organizational structure, you will be at the center of these engaging activities, bringing deep knowledge of the regulations. Your background in health insurance operations, law, legal research or compliance is optimally used to help the business leaders and teams identify requirements and scope for projects. This helps us to develop the best possible outcomes and technology to support the business strategy. This position will utilize strong facilitation skills to share knowledge and help Business Analysts elicit requirements from cross functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Detailed Job Duties:
Proactively analyze and develop impact understanding of all HCR related regulatory and sub- regulatory compliance information and translate information to business leadership for assessment in projects
Conduct research and develop answers for business inquiries by using factual information, including new and existing regulatory information
Conduct, or participate in, knowledge sharing sessions with IT and Business leadership to help create optimized compliant solutions
Work with teams during elicitation sessions to gain an understanding of the business problem being addressed
Analyze, specify, and contribute to the creation of detailed requirements definition documentation which may include descriptive documents, process flows, user interface mock-ups, reports and data models
Participate in requirement verification and validation sessions to gain approval from legal and compliance, business, and technical stakeholders
Participate in meetings and workshops with employees from all levels within the organization to identify and implement HCR driven changes
Evaluate and present recommendations HCR initiatives
Participate in process re-engineering to ensure that customer needs are met and HCR Compliance is delivered
Validate proposed business and technical designs to ensure alignment with HCR requirements
Proactively conduct continuous education with project teams as new regulations and clarifications come out
Assist users to document processes and procedures for using and supporting newly delivered solution
Understand and follow DHP's Solution Delivery and Project methodologies
Collaborate with business stakeholders, Project Office leadership, vendors and IT staff to resolve issues.
Required Skills:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a Business, Law, or Technology related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 Year in Health Insurance or Related Insurance or Finance Industry, or legal profession area, preferably in compliance areas or roles
Minimum of 1 year of compliance work or regulatory business analysis, or significant legal coursework
Demonstrated proficiency with project skills including defining analysis planning, elicitation, requirements management and communication, and solution assessment and validation
Exception oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Willingness to work individually and as part of a team to achieve business objectives
Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and comfortable with change
Ability to quickly gain familiarity with systems and projects assigned
