Role: SharePoint Platform Engineer

Platform: SharePoint 2007, 2010 & 2013

Location: Groton, CT

Duration: 3+ months

Rate : $50 to $55/hr on C-C ( we can close this position just with one telephonic round of interview )

Experience:

7-10 years with very strong knowledge on SharePoint Products and Technologies with different version of SharePoint (SharePoint 2007, 2010 & 2013).

• Experience in Production support environment

• Experience with MS SQL 2008 R2, MS SQL 2012

• Should be flexible to work in non-business hours like weekends/holidays based on the project requirement

• Must have excellent communication skills

Experience and Other Requirements (including Soft Skills):

• Infrastructure build - Architecting, Building and maintenance of new/existing SharePoint farm.

• Patch management - Installing Cumulative Updates, Language Packs and other supporting software required for a SharePoint farm.

• Tools Management - Installing, Configuring, Managing third part tools like AvePoint (Docave), Metalogix, CorasWorks, and Microsoft SCOM

• Capacity and Change Management - Implementation and control of Change Management and capacity management for the farm.

• Performance Tuning - Track and Optimize security, system performance & Utilization

• FAST – Knowledge of FAST infrastructure implementation and maintenance on SharePoint 2010 platform and SharePoint 2013

• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms in SharePoint 2013 (e.g. Claims)

• Good knowledge of PowerShell Scripting

• Good understanding of infrastructure/app requirements for applications hosted on DMZ.

• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery process.

• Good Understanding of ITIL processes.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills whilst engaging with colleagues and clients at various levels and functions.

• Strong work ethic coupled with enthusiasm and passion

• Good time management and multi-tasking ability

• Ability to understand the environment and start supporting it in very short time.

Responsibilities:

• This position will primarily be to build and support large enterprise farms serving 100,000 plus users across geographies as per IT road map

• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the farm

• Ability to interact with development teams, business owners, and various levels of management for troubleshooting any issues.

• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring
