Skills Required and Job Description:

MOI:Telephonic after telephonic Rate: $40/hr AUTOMATION, QTP AND VB SCRIPTING ARE A MUST This is a lot of automation so must currently or last job need to have done QTP automation testing at least 75% of the time They HAVE to be strong Automated Testers!!!!  Mike is looking for Automation Gurus, he is not looking for someone who has done “record and play”.  They are going to be writing a lot of new QTP scripts and modifying some existing QTP scripts.  Their previous positions should be where they spent a majority of their time writing and executing automated scripts in QTP.  The tester needs to have been doing at least 75% automated testing in their past few positions. QTP uses VBScript as it scripting language.  QTP is Qwest’s tool of choice.  But, Mike will look at Testers who have used other automated tools like WinRunner, RFT (Rational Functional Tester), Selenium (an open-source tool), eggPlant (an open-source tool) etc.  These testers are going to be very busy and have a fast paced schedule, so they need to be able to keep up.  They will be very CORE players on this team and will be the “glue” that holds the team together.  So, someone who can come in and get the job done.  Qualifications: 6+ years experience in software field and with at least 3 years of automation script development experience using VBscript Exposure to testing/automating a wide variety of applications including client/server, web based, web services and database validation Experience in QTP automation for Java, .net and Oracle based web system Previous daily duties should have included majority of time writing and executing automated scripts in QTP v10 or higher Experience with modifying objects in the Object Repository, as well as, Descriptive Programming is required Understanding and experience in different frameworks especially Keyword and modular with data driven framework is plus Strong SQL skills with MS SQL Server Must be able to perform basic to complex select statements with joins of multiple database tables and perform update and insert to databases to create test data
