This is our direct-client opening for a QA Analyst located in San Diego, CA. This is a 3-6+ month contract or contract-to-hire and our client is looking to interview and hire ASAP.
The Software Development Engineer in Test will be involved in the testing and automation of an ASP.NET/SQL Server 2008 application suite. This position will deliver black box test automation to verify ETL processes, SQL data and APIs, tests that will serve as the quality gate for the weekly build and deployment process. This position requires strong SQL and .NET/C# skills, preferably experience in related languages and test suites, and experience with Team Foundation Server a plus.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop test plans and test cases
Monitor and report on test case execution
Develop & execute functional test automation scripts
Understand customer needs and varied workflows used to meet goals
Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of QA experience
Experience testing of client server and web based applications
Experience in developing test plans and test cases
Experience developing test automation
Experience using defect tracking and source control systems
Strong SQL skills
Strong C#/.NET skills
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with Software Development tools and methodology – JAVA, .NET coding, T-SQL, Rules Engine (Drools, Corticon, etc)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Integration Services and/or Analysis Services preferred
