Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced senior .net architect with strong development and coding experience for a short-term contract to develop a highly customized, design-rich sales and marketing intranet CMS. System is entirely new development.
The site will be developed in .net, tightly integrated with SharePoint 2010 for lists, forms and workflow. Elements of the CMS include:
• Controls for uploading, aging and staging documents
• Dynamic and customizable menus for selecting documents to be displayed
• Usage reporting and dashboards
• Sophisticated search on metadata and document contents
• Graphic-rich UI with extensive use of AJAX
• Database-driven architecture to enable flexibility
The UI design and a high level functions specification have been completed. The developer will complete the architecture, coding and documentation, and then participate in the beta testing and ultimate deployment to production site. The developer will have the support of an in house graphics and UI team for design elements, as well as an account team for any interface with the client. As part of the assignment, the developer must configure and document the development environment and any tools at for client so they can make and future changes or modifications.
The site will be deployed on existing II7.5 and SharePoint 2010 infrastructure. Networking, infrastructure and SharePoint installation, configuration, security and maintenance are not critical to the position, but the ability to clearly communicate with the infrastructure administrative team and ensure a smooth delivery and transition are important.
Contractor must be onsite at our office in Boston (downtown financial district) two to three days per week during the project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and develop sales and marketing CMS intranet .NET using C#, ASP.NET, CAML, XML and MSSQL for II7.5 deployment
• Design and develop SharePoint 2010 solutions using SharePoint tools
• Code complex SharePoint and .NET web parts solutions
• Author development timeline and milestones; provide weekly status and progress reports
• Develop quality products and deliver them on schedule; provide accurate status updates
• Develop front end code from existing wireframes and look and feel
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner with creative and account teams on asset and creative needs
• Configure development environment and tools at EMI
• Clear documentation of entire system, development environment and tools
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required
• Experience working with design-rich marketing sites, public facing sites or cutting edge intranets
• Experience with a top-tier firm in both architect and developer role
• Minimum 5 years of experience architecting enterprise solutions using .net, C# and SharePoint 2010 with good software methodology practices
• Minimum 5 years of object oriented .NET, C# and ASP.NET experience
• Experience in Integration and Reporting Services ASP .NET and client web development (XML, XSL, ASP .NET, AJAX, HTML, Java Script, jquery) and MS SQL
• Must be analytical, adept to problem solving, and have a strong attention to detail
• Project management experience
• Strong system documentation skills
Preferred
• Computer science, engineering, math or statistics degree from top college with excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures and algorithms
• Experience with commercially available CMSs and in developing custom CMS
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Team and self-driven experience
• Experience with other technologies (LAMP, Java)
