Position: Datastage Developer (senior)

Work Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 10 Months

 

• Oracle
• Healthcare experience

 

In this DataStage Developer role, you will be responsible for development on large, complex data warehouse and ETL projects to achieve key business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Gather and prepare analysis based on information from internal and external sources to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency
• Research complex functional issues using a variety of resource
• Develop and prepare highly complex reports and provide and/or interpret information and data across divisions and departments
• Assume responsibility for data integrity among various internal groups and/or between internal and external sources
• Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision making.
• Participate in processes to ensure a consistent, well-managed, and integrated data warehouse infrastructure
• Participate in Data Modeling sessions
• Lead and mentor teammates on technical subject area related to data warehouse and ETL tools
• Design, develop, test and implement programs, UNIX/Linux scripts and processes to extract, transform, clean and load data from source systems into the data warehouse
• Participate in change control, problem management, and communication among associated team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of IBM DataStage experience
• 3+ years of data warehouse and system analysis experience
• 3+ years of Oracle (or DB2) database knowledge sql, pl/sql
• 5+ years of data modeling experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in UNIX shell scripting
• Oracle SQL tuning experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
• Proficiency with MS Visio
• Healthcare Industry experience

(Responsible for modifying, enhancing or creating new Datastage jobs that perform functions of receiving files from source systems or extracting data from Source system tables. Performing complex look-ups in Oracle database tables to derive and assign additional fields and values. Should be able to create output files to send to multiple recipients or internal or source tables.)
