Position: Network Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 6 Month+

 

RATE: Max $45-49 /hr on C2C

 

The Network Engineer will be responsible to configure, manage, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of networking equipment.  

    Essential requirements:
-          Experience with Cisco devices including but not limited to ASA firewalls, Cisco routing and switching equipment
-          Experience with MPLS, WAN Optimization and network analysis tools
-          Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF).
-          Understanding of TCP/IP networking including switching, routing protocols, WLAN, OSI Model, DNS, HTTP,

            SMB/CIFS/NFS,MTP, SNMP and packet level analysis
-          Experience with network intrusion detection, extrusion detection and network analysis tools, IDS and network traffic analytic tools

            along with active intrusion prevention methods and technologies.
-          Familiarity with cryptographic principals, and common encryption schemes such as symmetric/asymmetric encryption, hashing,
            SSL/TLS, IPSec, PGP, S/MIME, SSH, PKI
-          Experience with network equipment syslog data
-          Experience with common security, vulnerability assessment and penetration tools like Nessus, nmap, WebInspect etc.
-          Knowledge of incident handling processes, methods and best practices
-          Design, implement, manage and document network security configurations for firewalls.
-          On-call, after-hours support will be required as needed.
-          Advanced network troubleshooting and experience in resolving complex network problems
-          Must be expert in documenting the processes

Education / Qualification:

-        Computer Engineering Graduate or equivalent 

-        Atleast 5 years of hands on experience in an IP-based enterprise network environment as a network engineer
-        Cisco certification required (e.g., CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, etc.)
-        Extensive experience in architecture, design, implementation, management and troubleshooting of enterprise networks based on
         Cisco technologies

-        Extensive routing and switching experience with Cisco IOS.

-        Network security experience, including ACL, IOS and ASA Firewalls, Cisco ACS. 
-        Hands on experience configuring and supporting firewalls, VPN appliances, and site-to-site VPNs.
-        Experience with MPLS, WAN Optimization and network analysis tools.
-        Experience with Cisco based VOIP solutions
