Job Description:
Required Skills and Attributes
• Java: 5+ years
• Web app back-end development experience: 5 years
• Extensive experience with Spring
• JMX experience
• Thorough understanding of Java Servlets
• Comprehensive knowledge of REST and Java RESTful frameworks
• Decent SQL and RDBMS development skills - need not be an SQL wizard
• Messaging frameworks (e.g. RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, HornetQ)
• Asynchronous programming and thorough knowledge of concurrency programming techniques
• Very conversant on both the why and how of unit testing
• Excellent software design skills
• Writes clean, easily understood, maintainable code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Will have to document and explain their work!
• Ability to affably work with developers with diverse technical backgrounds and skill levels
Desired Skills and Attributes
• Scala
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Web app server-side performance diagnosis and tuning
