Job Description :

The ATT ASG National Performance And Acceptance Standards Team is seeking a highly experienced RF Wireless Engineer with knowledge of UMTS and LTE call processing algorithms. 

Candidate must have a strong UTRAN background and in-depth knowledge of RF and performance related parameters and their impact on network performance. Candidate must be familiar with the available antenna systems, propagation techniques, wave shaping, and RF hardware like LNA's, TMAs, splitters, duplexers, etc. Must have a good understanding of the RF

Pathloss and Link Budget.

The RF Engineer will work on Small Cells with ATT teams and Optimization Vendors to fine tune the RF propagation and handovers. He should help in planning and optimization and use his knowledge of system KPIs, and its relationship to the Small Cells and Macro network parameters. RF Engineer would be extensively using his skills with UTRAN background and in-depth knowledge of RF and performance related parameters and its impact on network performance, RF optimization parameters, tools and methodologies.

Candidate must have a solid understanding of system KPIs, and it's relationship to the network parameters. Must have the skills to access the WMS/SAM and OSS to make parameter changes and identify the impact on KPIs real time.

Hands on experience with Alcatel-Lucent UMTS Network is required and Small Cells experience is desired.

Actual field experience with TEMS/JDSU data collection suites would be a plus. Knowledge of Layer 1,2,3 messages

and analyzing those for troubleshooting problems real-time is desired.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to help generate reports and any process guidelines.

Candidates should be willing to work nights and weekends as required.

Required Qualifications (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge): Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and

minimum 8 years of experience in UMTS networks and KPI base system optimization. Desired Qualifications

(Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge): One year LTE experience is highly desirable
