Title: Senior Business Operations Analyst

Location Costa Mesa CA

Duration: 6+ Months

 

This is a business analyst position for the Triage/Production Support team to provide resolutions to product related or operational issues. The analyst will work with a team comprised of multiple technical disciplines (software, database and QA). He/she must be a proactive leader and communicator, with a strong sense of accountability and a day-to-day focus on results. This role requires a strategic, analytical and common-sense approach.

 

Responsibilities:
• Acts as the key point of contact for incident tickets and inquiries from internal customers across multiple business units.
• Manages internal customer expectations and provides consistent and exceptional customer service
• Leads and coordinates the production support team
• Oversees the end-to-end process of identifying, analyzing, prioritizing and resolving incident tickets
• Responds to system failures by notifying the customer, capturing incident related information and contacting any system or application engineers required to correct the problem
• Conducts incident reviews to assess the causes, impacts, and corrective action resulting from critical system failures
• Coordinates the development of training plans and a centralized knowledge base.
• Demonstrates solid business and technical understanding of our products, platforms and processes.
• Develops process and procedures aimed at improving efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and accountability.
• Identify areas of improvements and propose solutions to enhance product quality based on historical problem trends.
• Develops metrics and reporting to analyze incident trends, measure service levels and monitor work load vs. capacity.

n this roll (as defined in the job description), the job is broken down into 2 functions.
1) Daily Operations 80%
2) Process Improvement 20%

In the Daily Operations function there is a lot of critical thinking, highly analytical though, troubleshooting, coordination, follow-up, multi-tasking, and conflict resolution. The key sub functions are monitoring, auditing, and reconciliation.


4+ years business, operations, project management, financial or data analysis experience with a financial services company or an internet software company. Some product management experience also preferred.

? Superior critical analysis and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
? Experienced in using data to generate quantitative and qualitative analysis.
? Strong organization and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
? Ability to see projects through from start to finish with minimal guidance
? Ability to command meetings and coordinate peers to accomplish projects and resolve problems
? Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external teams at all levels.
? Ability to succinctly report to management status on key initiatives and/or present recommendations to maximize operational performance and efficiency gains.
? Operational technology background or the aptitude to research and learn complex technologies and processes.
? Flexible enough to work with different technical skill levels and skill sets.
? Ability to think out-of-box and not to be limited to existing designs and implementation
? Strong understanding of business process analysis, system analysis and data analysis
? Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with managers, employees, external clients/vendors and/or customers.
? Ability to prioritize and respond to frequent demands of multiple customers.
? Presentation skills and ability to convey data are required.
? Prior experience with developing business requirements and/or functional specification documents.
? Ability to assist the Business in translating functional requirements to the technical specifications.
? Prior experience in developing SQL Queries in Microsoft SQL server is a plus.
? 4 year BS or BA degree required.
