Request Notes : PLEASE NOTE 2ND SHIFT It's 4 – 10 hour days, Mon-Thurs, 2p.m. to midnight   POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor WAN/MAN circuits and equipment for outages, performance issues, abnormal usage, errors or resource issues. • Monitor LAN equipment for outages, performance issues, abnormal usage, errors or resource issues. • Fault isolation and problem determination for all NOC related issues including network connectivity and latency issues. • Work with vendors and end users to resolve issues. • Troubleshoot and isolate failed equipment and circuits remotely or on site. • Troubleshoot Remote Access issues. • Identify traffic causing high utilization problems. • Troubleshoot Wireless connectivity. • Provide support on Cisco Unified Communications, including basic administrative functions. • Troubleshoot IPT alerts and failures. • Define and create DHCP scopes. • Monitor DHCP scopes for depletion of IP addresses. • Configure DNS resolution. • Provide assistance to security team in tracking virus infected machines or mitigate actions to reduce virus impact. • Manage and administer Enterprise monitoring toolsets. • Provide traffic analysis on WAN circuits. • Support legacy analog telecommunications infrastructure. • Support Videoconferencing infrastructure. • Support Rightfax, paging, calling card and wireless air card issues. • Maintain network documentation. • Create Change Management for network related changes. • Write technical standard operating procedures as necessary. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge and skills required to manage the Cisco routers and switches that form the network infrastructure. • Knowledge of basic networking methodologies and the OSI model. • Strong oral and written communications skills. • Ability to work any day or time of the week.   EDUCATION REQUIRED • Bachelor's degree in related field OR 2 years of work experience in lieu of a 4 year degree.   YEARS OF EXPERIENCE • 1+ years   SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED • Cisco networking     DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • CCNA Certification. • Knowledge and skills required to install, configure and troubleshoot converged local and wide area networks with Cisco devices. • Knowledge and skills to configure and troubleshoot wireless access points, remote access products, IP telephony products, Call/Contact Center products and applications, videoconferencing products, SIP trunking and load balancers. • Competency skills with WLSE, WCS, Opsware, CiscoWorks, Cisco ACS, Netcool, Spectrum and Cacti. • Strong customer relationship skills.  Ability to work collaboratively. • Ability to work efficiently, professionally and effectively in a fast paced environment.
