Title: Unisys Cobol Programmer
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
Provide general system design, application programming, unit and integration testing of developed programs and documentation of those programs.
Programming tasks may include complete unit routines or functional routines that make up discrete parts of functional units.
Programming will utilize structured COBOL
Candidate will develop application software; conduct data analysis, perform data accesses, data structures, data manipulation, database accesses, design, programming, testing and implementation, develop technical and user documentation, and perform software
conversions.
Candidate must be able to work without assistance and provide leadership for others.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience working directly with COBOL 85 (UCOB) programming on Unisys
2200 series.
Minimum of 5 years experience utilizing Unisys ECL, TIP?DPS-2200 and DMS 2200/RDMS Desired Skills:
Unisys COBOL, DPS, MQ Series, SOPRT, GSM, Merge, XML, PL/SQL, IBM Process Server, OPC, CSF, Crystal Reports, QMF,SPUFI, JAVA, PERL, LINUX, GTK, and RPM.
The best candidates will have COBOL development experience with the WMS.
Experience should include monitoring production work including error diagnosis/debugging, system analysis and design, program, unit and integrated testing.
Preferred Skills:
Unisys COBOL, DPS – FORMGN and runtime API, OPEN/DTM (T2200), MQ Series, PADS, CIFS-
2200, SORT, GSM, XML, PL/SQL.
