Position : Jira Administrator
Location : Remote (1st week onsite in Stamford, CT for training then 100% remote)
Duration : 6-12 month C2H
Mode of Interview : Phone / Skype
Pay Rate : $40 - $43/hr. W2

We are now looking for a JIRA Admin with some exposure to DevOps:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain and administer an instance of JIRA with at least 1500 users.
- Work with JIRA to enable custom workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports
- Create and manage complex JIRA components including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes in JIRA
- Install, configure, maintain, and enhance the Atlassian systems that we use to manage work
- Responsible for bug tracking, issue tracking, and project management tool
- Understand system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions
- Discover opportunities to improve the workflow of daily tasks and lead efforts to drive improvements in team efficiency
- Create scripts which assist in the automation of Jira functionality
- Deploy, upgrade and patch all Atlassian systems
- Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility
- Ensure the reliability and security of the Atlassian suite, including third-party products, and associated components
- Create and customize JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes to support customer projects
- Carry out routine procedures (e.g. Project configuration, user management)
- Manage new projects development within the JIRA system, troubleshooting issues and bugs
- Manage all aspects of internal deployment projects and work closely with the internal teams on status, issues, and communications
- Automate the development and test automation processes through CI/CD pipeline (GitFlow, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Puppet, Chef etc.,)
- Develop and configure tools for more productive Front-end Operations ((build tools, deployment, speed: (app, tests, builds, deploys), monitoring errors/logs, and stability)
- Drive continuous improvements in deployment, management, and monitoring of the application's web services.
- Contribute to improvements in processes that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the DevOps and product development teams in responding to customer and business needs
- Solve live performance and stability issues and prevent their recurrence.
- Administer in Linux systems and various tools including JIRA, Git, Jenkins or other similar systems
- Develop automated deployment and monitoring tools in Ansible, Python, bash or similar scripting languages
- Creatively identify and isolate issues between infrastructure and application
- Research and analyze tools and technologies to optimize building and deploying code-base, manage distributed production systems and application resources.
- Deploys new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment.
- Work with various teams including: developers, QA, triage, technical support, project managers, database administrators and technical writers
- Documents and completes knowledge transfer to production support.
- Works with Release Management to ensure modules are production ready
