Rework Technician

Duration: Long Term Contract 

Location: Austin, TX

Visa Copy Required

 

Job Description:

 

·         5+ years of soldering and rework experience

·         Experience in using various soldering and rework equipment

·         Ability of distinguish various color codes on printed circuit boards and electronic components

·         Ability read electronic schematics and Printed Circuit board drawings and Bill of Materials

·         Ability to identify components like resistors, capacitors, inductors etc

·         Ability to understand "rework" instructions provided by engineers

·         Ability to solder surface mount and fine pitch components. Experience with BGA re-balling preferred

·         Ability to repair / rework printed circuit boards – cutting and re-routing traces (blue wire rework), placing leads for connecting test & measurement equipment etc – as described in "rework" instruction

·         Ability to prepare custom cables as per drawings provided

·         Familiarity with various hardware components required to build a computer platform

·         Understanding / certification in IPC soldering standards preferred

·         Ability to clearly communicate status of task assigned in a ticket system

·         Ability to self-prioritize activities and adhere to lab safety and cleanliness standards
