Role: Technical Writers Intermediate REQ: Location: Cranston, RI Start Date: ASAP End Date : 3 months Purpose of the role - How it adds value Deliverables: criteria/results by which success can be measured: Determine documentation requirements for assignments as needed. Plan, organize, write and edit work instructions and additional support information. Utilize process maps and subject matter experts to update documentation for pending changes. Create illustrations, screen captures and other graphics for inclusion in documentation. Use appropriate style guides and software as needed. Participate in team and cross-team efforts as they pertain to publishing and writing technical guides, presentations and work instructions.
| Technical Knowledge: 5-10 years of experience in technical writing. Bachelors degree in technical writing or communications or equivalent experience is required. Proficiency with word processing (Microsoft Word, Adobe, etc.). Familiarity with InfoMap a plus. Ability to manage projects, document plans and schedules as well as meet project deadlines. Ability to write clearly and concisely following technical standards and guides. Ability to learn new software and adapt to a changing work environment. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team/project team. Analytical and problem solving skills a must.
