Description:
Responsible for actively resolving product and technology needs of the business with a focus on gathering business and technical requirements and performing complex systems and process analysis, testing, design and/or prototyping. Facilitate the optimization of business performance by ensuring the alignment between business products, processes and information technology. Develop plans and/or recommendations to integrate new and existing standards, methodologies and/or processes for assigned products and systems. Provide project management to ensure product launches, projects and/or application releases are successfully implemented according to business requirements and system standards.
Essential Duties:
- Requirements Gathering - Use appropriate process and document support (vision, scope, context diagrams, use cases, traceability matrix) to gather requirements for products, projects and system innovations/enhancements from key cross-functional stakeholders.
- Requirements Analysis & Review - Provide business process reviews and/or recommendations to ensure products, processes and systems meet changing business conditions as well as stakeholder and customer needs. Identify and analyze gaps between current products and processes, and desired state and document product/process requirements to ensure the integrity of product, processes or system functionality.
- Product, Process and System Design and integration - Perform analysis of products, processes and software capabilities including complex product and system process analysis, design and prototyping. Work with key stakeholders to develop alternative design solutions; advice on options, risks, cost versus benefits and impact on other business products, processes and system priorities. Provide expertise in product and application capabilities and design optimal and efficient solutions to meet user requirements and ensure solutions maintain system integrity/performance.
- Prepare test objectives and validate product, process and system development - Create effective test objectives and comprehensive test plans (UAT), execute and evaluate detailed test scripts and results, resolve testing incidents and document all results. Provide guidance to cross-functional teams (including QA) in the development of effective test scripts and conditions. Drive Go/No Go decisions for launches.
- Release management - Establish and ensure adherence to UAT testing standards and procedures, regression scripts and overall production system integrity/product performance. May provide a coordination point for all testing activities across development projects and support groups for a product/application release. Mentor to testing leads/UAT team/product marketing/brand stakeholders on development projects.
- Competitor/Customer/Industry knowledge: Perform competitive intelligence assessments, internal analysis, and predictive research studies to aid in the overall extension of IHG distribution knowledge and competency in the field of Travel distribution.
Position Requirements:
1. 8+ years of business systems analysis across multiple units (Demonstrated knowledge of business requirements gathering processes such as vision, scope, context diagrams, use cases, traceability matrix, and other tools used in processes such as RUP)
2. Experience working closely with IT in the development and implementation of products and systems with demonstrated
3. Experience creating screen mockups / wireframes / prototyping (with examples)
