Expert & hands-on knowledge of various IBM P-series hardware like P660 etc.

• Preferably AIX Certified.

• Expert & hands-on knowledge on trouble shooting AIX 5.2 OS

• Exposure to HACMP clustering & troubleshooting HACMP clustering

• Very good understanding of capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning.

• Exposure to server hardening

• Expert knowledge on Package install, patch management, server builds, Server upgrades, License management

• Exposure LPAR

• Expert knowledge on AIX NIM for unattended server install

• Hands on knowledge on NFS/JFS/JFS2

• Hand-on knowledge on various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.)

• Good exposure to AIX network administration ( DNS,NIS,LDAP)

• Configures complex software implementations for initial functionality with occasionally configuration for advanced features.

• Excellent communication skills

• Exposure to TIVOLI for server management

• Exposure to BigBrother for server monitoring

• Exposure to Peregrine for service desk Profile: Expert in Shell/Perl Scripting with Level-2 Unix Systems Administration ( any UNIX platform)

Skills: Shell script expertise with UNIX Level - 2 Certifications: Prometric Solaris SCSA/SCNA/RHCE

Client Environment: - System Administration skills on UNIX Platform, with the OS, Volume Manager, Cluster knowledge - Handling Decode of shell/Perl scripts - Deploying scripts, remote push/pull of system utilities with scripting - Building system automation thru scripting - Handling functions/traps/loops/conditional methods - Ability to create mount points, file systems, add disk and allocate system resources to meet the needs of development are essential.
