Position: Webservices Tester
Location: NYC,NY
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:-
Serve as a very hands-on leader of a web services testing team consisting of on/offshore team members for application development silos within MSSB technology
Design and mentor team members who design and create best-in-class web services testing approaches and plans for enterprise-wide projects
Work closely with application development, quality management, environment support, architecture, infrastructure and engineering groups for web services testing initiatives
Gather requirements, define test approach, collect required test data, develop test automation framework, design and execute web services scripts
Provide quality, process and technical leadership within the Web Services team
Establish a strong presence as a change agent providing innovative, effective, and efficient SOA testing solutions
Skills Required
5+ years experience of hands-on web services/SOA testing
Extensive knowledge of implementing web service automation frameworks utilizing HP Service Test 9.5 or 11
Experience with creating virtualized services using iTKO LISA.
Strong knowledge of XML file structure, XML schema, and XML file data validation.
Extensive experience creating complex SQL queries and stored procedures
Experience leading onsite and offshore teams.
Ability to understand business flows with or without documentation and create detailed test scenarios
Experience with resource planning, project planning and estimation, task allocation, progress monitoring, coordination of activities, and conflict resolution
Security testing experience and understanding of different security vulnerabilities as applicable to web services
Must possess a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, and technologies including web, web services, distributed and mainframe databases
Must be well versed in using Hp Service Test 9.5 or greater for advanced test script development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Should possess an understanding of software development and implementation methodologies including waterfall and Agile.
Strong understanding and/or hands-on experience is required in the following categories:
Database: IBM DB2 distributed and mainframe v9.x, SQL Server 2005+
Application Development Platforms: .NET, J2EE,
Transport Layers: HTTP, HTTPS, JMS, MQ
Tools: HP suite of products specifically HP Service Test, Quick Test Pro and Quality Center
Desired Skills
Financial domain experience is a plus
Experience with various web services testing tools such as ITKO Lisa, Parasoft SOA Test
