Title: Senior Informatica developer Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: Long Term Description: JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Informatica developer will be responsible for ETL development for data integration and BI solutions at Manheim. This role will work closely with data modelers, business analysts and BI developers to understand requirements, develop ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and multiple PowerExchange plug-ins in support of technical requirements, validate specifications, fix issues during testing, and help migrate code into production. This resource will also be involved in level 2 and level 3 production support processes for resolution of ETL related issues in production. Qualifications: • Minimum of 6 years of working experience with Informatica PowerCenter in BI/Data Warehousing space or system integration work. • Working knowledge and experience with ETL/Data integration using Informatica and DAC • Expert Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and tuning skills • Prefer previous team lead responsibility for ETL development. • Understanding of Dimensional Modeling Concepts such as Slowly Changing Dimensions and Fact table ETL. • Experience with identifying Data Quality issues and developing strategies for improvement • Experience with conforming/assimilating similar data from multiple sources, including systems of record and other ancillary applications. • Understanding of Master Data Management principles in the context of data integration and ETL • Working knowledge of Informatica PowerExchange for AS/400 is required. • Experience with code reviews and UAT resolution of ETL issues. • Experience with OBIEE/Siebel Analytics is a plus. • Experience in using SAS for development is a plus. • Requires a minimum of a BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related field. • Requires working knowledge on highly available, transactional database with a large volume data set. • Additionally the candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, be flexible, self-starter, ability to solve problems, develop solutions, multi-task and maintain deadlines for development initiatives. • Successful characteristics for the position are the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment. Responsibilities: • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of Manheim business and industry. • Identifies strengths and weaknesses in existing processes, suggests areas of improvement, and helps enhance existing ETL processes to meet evolving requirements. • Communicates effectively with business partners to identify needs and evaluate options • Understands and review technical requirements, designs ETL process flow and walkthroughs and performs data profiling of required source systems • Develops data mapping and verify mapping and data. • Help and facilitate the development of test cases for projects. • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. • Provides oversight of other ETL development activities and unit testing all objects and processes, and performs find-tuning and UAT issue resolution • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. • Help BI reporting developers with analyzing data source and prepare data feed required for Analytics reports and dashboards. • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design. • Identifies critical issues with ease. • Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems. • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback. • Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training.
