Senior Storage Engineer (Hitachi)

Expertise Level required: L3 +

Primary skills   : Hitachi 

Secondary skills : EMC/ IBM & good to have netapps.

Location         : Wilmington, DE

 

Requirement:

Ø         Monitor, report and present key infrastructure performance metrics for technologies in scope to IT leadership

Ø         Installation and configuration on Hitachi VSP , IBM DS, and Netapp arrays

Ø         Configuration of hardware RAID on Storages. 

Ø         Brocade switch configurations and advanced trouble shooting with Fabric Watch & Web Tools. It includes configuring hard and soft zoning and switch back up and Firmware revisions Installation, maintenance and upgrade of HiCommand Tuning Manager and Device manager

Ø         .Plan and Support Storage capacity expansions for Hitachi /NetApp arrays and Brocade SAN switches.

Ø         In-depth knowledge on SHADOW IMAGE in HITACHI VSP storages

Ø         In-depth knowledge on TRUE COPY in HITACHI VSP

Ø         In-depth knowledge on SVC

Ø         Configuring External storages (Storage Virtualization) with VSP series

Ø         Microcode exchange on Hitachi VSP

Ø         Replacement of controllers in HITACHI VSP 

Ø         Execute capacity planning, monitoring, operations and infrastructure management processes for technologies in scope

Ø         Monitor, report and present key infrastructure performance metrics for technologies in scope to IT leadership
