Clinical QA Test Lead

Start date: immediate

6-12+ Months

Location: Phoenix, AZ

 

Responsibilities include –

 

·         Develop Test Plan documents against the Business and Functional specification documents outlining the strategy of testing, detailing the testing components of the project, listing the entrance and exit criteria from different phases of testing, detailing the risks and the dependencies that are associated with the QA testing for the project, and the mitigation strategy on how to resolve these issues.  Steward the Test Plan documents through the QA and project management reviews, and obtain signoffs from the stakeholders on the project. Advise and assist in the development of detailed Test Cases against the Use Cases, and the Functional and the Technical Specification documents.  

·         Prepare and gather the test data necessary for the test execution in the QA environment.  

·         Ensure execution of the written and approved test cases against the delivered applications into the test environment and enter the test results with Pass or Fail criteria.  Communicate with the development team on any issues that arise from the execution. Report the status of the testing to the QA Project Manager and open any defects associated with any tests that have failed in HP Quality Center.

·         Work with QA, Functional Business and Software Vendor staff to report, verify and close the defects and resolve any issues that arise during testing.  Participate in defect triage, prioritization and review meetings on a daily basis.  Ensure that the reported defects in Quality Center get fixed by the development team and get retested in the test environment.  Update the status of the bugs by either closing or rejecting the bugs appropriately. Ensure that the defects are properly retested and marked in Quality Center with appropriate statuses and comments based on the Defect Management methodology document.  Ensure speedy closure of the defects.

·         Provide support to other QA staff as they perform testing of enhancement and features by providing in-service QA support.  Assist the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team with the design of their test cases at the business level, and support the UAT team to meet their objectives.  Work with the Customer Support group and help in reproduction of the defects in QA, and the closure of the reported defects.  

·         Follow the QACC Methodology and ensure that testing and remediation projects assigned are remediated in accordance to the methodology.

 

 

ICD – 10 Remediation Testing Project: This is a testing project with scope being testing of all applications and workflows impacted by ICD-10 transition.
