Job Title: Linux / Unix Network Server Engineer (L3)
Location : San Rafael, CA
Duration : 3 to 6 months
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
· 8+ years of working experience managing IT enterprise Linux/UNIX servers, Linux clusters & services.
· 5+ years of working experience with supporting Sun Solaris (9/10)
· Solid & proven scripting skills using bash/Shell/Perl to automate processes. bash, sh, ksh, and tcl scripting.
· Solid knowledge of system management, such as LINUX RedHat "Satellite", Puppet and methodologies specifically related to Linux-based operating system, networking/distributed computing environment concepts, and systems security.
· Ability to problem solve quickly and ability to propose viable tactical & strategic options & solution
· Excellent & proven skills in analyzing, designing, implementing and system integration.
· Thorough understanding and work experience with disk Volume Managers (SVM DiskSuite, Veritas Volume Manager), SSH, Sendmail, BIND DNS, VMWare, name resolution, and network firewall are a must.
· Proficient in using MS Office, MS Project and Visio for project management & documentation.
· Knowledge and/or experience with Apache HTTP servers, cgi-bin programming, ProFTPd, Webmin, CVS, NetApps storage, EMC storage, NetBackup, and Oracle/SQL database are a plus.
