| Detailed job description - Skill Set: | Skills · Experience with the following development skills and technology: • Java (v.1.4 or higher), JavaScript, JSF, SQL, HTML, • Java Enterprise Edition (J2E) or Spring frameworks • Enterprise Design Patterns; object-oriented design • JDeveloper • Web Services / SOA integration (SOAP, RESTful,) · Knowledge of Web center Suite 11g and its components - Web center Spaces, Portal, Portlets, Discussion Server. · Hands-on experience with Web center Suite 11g Single Node Installation, Configuration and High Availability setup. · Hands on Migration and integration experience of Webcenter suite 11g with other product lines viz., Identity Management, Content Servers, Site Studio · Exposure and prior experience on Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) · Hands on administration experience with Weblogic Server · Knowledge of Oracle 11g database · Knowledge of OHS plug-in and Web logic tuning · Develops WebCenter Applications, Taskflows, Content Workflows, Content Model etc., to deliver the business requirements

Job Description · Provide technical expertise in developing and maintaining business applications such as customer-facing web sites and intranet applications. Create technical design specifications from business/functional requirements. Configure, program/create business functionality and unit test development work to ensure quality. Work within SDLC methodology and adhere to technical architecture standards. Proactively identify potential problems and issues and actively communicate and manage issues to resolution. Demonstrable knowledge of WebCenter Suite Installation, Configuration and setup of WebCenter, Ability to design portals using WebCenter Suite, Develop detailed solutions for moderately complex Portals (WebCenter Suite or WebLogic Portal ) and Hands-on development experience with WebCenter Suite and/or WebCenter Spaces. 6+ years of programming/analysis experience
Roles and Responsibilities · Work closely with key stakeholders and other project team members to understand and prioritize functional requirements and information needs. Participate in the development of functional requirements and design specifications as appropriate. · Develop, create and document technical specifications and designs from which applications and/or technical solutions can be developed that satisfy documented business /functional requirements and envisions potential future requirements and business needs to ensure solutions are flexible and extensible. · Provide programming and technical expertise to ensure business solutions (applications) function according to business and technical requirements. Prepare and deliver technical documentation as required. · Ensure that all code / technical configurations and other work products are thoroughly unit-tested prior to delivery. Participate in system/integration testing as appropriate. Perform code reviews and other QA steps as requested. · Adhere to SDLC and technology architecture requirements. Contribute to architecture design principles and standards as appropriate. · Proactively identify and communicate potential problems and issues to project team members/leaders. Proactively identify alternatives and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate. · Ensure accurate project status and work estimates (ETCs) are always reported /communicated to project leaders/managers in a timely fashion. · Effectively communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure issues are analyzed, discussed and resolved in a timely manner. · Consistently enhance skills and job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products and trends; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. · Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing portals applications · Communicate and enforce best practice design and coding standards · Demonstrated competency in designing, programming and testing complex applications or components. · Demonstrated competency in accurately identifying the scope of work and preparing thorough, accurate and detailed schedule estimates. · Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
