Job Title: MS SQL Server Developer (Mid Level)
Job Location: Oakland, CA

Visa Status: USC/GC/EAD's/H1B (USC/GC are highly prefereble)
Note: Locals to CA are highly preferable.
MS SQL Server Database Developer:
Minimum number of years of experience required: 5-8 years
Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities:
• Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements and to provide documentation of any request.
• Main point of contact with clients to troubleshoot database related issues. Provide timely communication and resolution of problem.
• Experienced working as an individual developer that is responsible for integrity of development, test, and production environments.
• Make recommendations to business partner process, structural, or logical changes to database and views to best meet the business needs.
• Provide estimate delivery dates for all request made. Work with clients to prioritize all request and be able to communicate clearly and timely of any delays.
Top 3 - 5 Required Skills:
• Be able to create user interfaces to support changes to the database while maintaining the integrity of the links and data while providing user with good user experiences.
• Knowledge of data and structure to be able to get external data from other sources to incorporate into the existing data structure with appropriate validation and controls.
Desired skills:
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (MSSQL) database administration (OLTP and OLAP)
• MSSQL Performance Tuning using native tools.
• Resolve MSSQL configuration or performance issues directly or communicate to client issues caused by database design
• Manage database backups, restores and recovery models.
• Develop and maintain automated database maintenance scripts.
• Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
• Windows server 2008 administration required to optimize MSSQL instances, manage users and roles, or troubleshoot database performance; Active Directory knowledge a plus.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Integration Services 2008 packages
• Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Reporting Services 2005 and 2008 reports (Native and SharePoint integrated)
• SharePoint 2007 / 2010 experience a plus
