Web Administrator Search Consultant

Duration:

Position Functions or Responsibilities: 
- The candidate must have experience administering the web application servers such as IBM HTTP Server, Apache  Web Server.
- The candidate must additionally have hands-on experience in administration of Web Search Application Servers such as Verity Search, Portal Search , Apache Solr and Google Search Appliance (GSA) in a distributed enterprise environment.
- Administration of application platforms such as CDN, Node.js, Mackevision Image Server would be extremely useful.
- Deploy and maintain the solution fixes in these applications in the development, test, sandbox and production environments.
- Participate in the design, installation, configuration, and monitoring of all application and web servers.
- Advise teams in the planning and utilitization of the search engine applications across the organization.
- Answer technical queries and provide support to project teams and end users. Mentor and train end users in the use of such Web Search appliances.
- Provide continuous monitoring of the tools to proactively identify and resolve issues. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting service levels.
- Ensure appropriate backups and recoveries for the supported tools. Coordinate tool updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Administer security permissions. Assure compliance to required Corporate standards, procedures, guidelines and processes, including audits.

Experience:
1. 5+ years progressively in administration work experience in an IBM WebSphere environment.
2. Ability to troubleshoot errors and lead efforts to seek resolution to web testing applications performance issues.

- The candidate must have experience managing the Compuware APM products and various module in a distributed enterprise Environment. As well as work with Infrastructure Monitoring and Application Performance Monitoring tools.
- The candidate will design reporting templates and translate information from monitoring tools into user friendly format. Experience in implementing & supporting Compuware DCRUM / DynaTrace / Compuware Vantage, Compuware Gomez modules in a distributed enterprise environment.
- Good understanding of standard IT Infrastructure components like web / application / database servers etc.
- Good understanding of how IT Infrastructure components use the networking layer to communicate between each other.
- Exposure to Infrastructure Monitoring and Application Performance Monitoring tools.
